Adventures
These adventures follow the campaign history in timeline order. Some are finished victories, some are disasters survived only by a few witnesses, and some are interrupted missions whose consequences still shape the world.
Timeline
- The Warning from Hearthforge - A doomed scouting mission reached the old dwarven halls and found the horde almost ready to march. One sacrifice shattered enough war machines to buy time, and one wounded survivor carried the warning back to Þýdal.
- The Amber Tower - As Þýdal searched desperately for allies, adventurers found a hidden tower, freed a trapped spider family, and released Fróð Erikson from three centuries of frozen time.
- The Night Þýdal Fell - Þýdal chose to stand. Under moonlight, villagers, heroes, goliaths, and a long-lost wizard held the horde long enough for the people to escape downriver.
- The Sky-Stone Sickness - Before Þýdal fell, a party went north to the fallen sky-stone and returned with star-metal for desperate smiths. The weapons forged from that journey helped arm the village for the horde's attack.
- Return to the Sickened Sky-Stone - After Þýdal's refugees reached Niðaróss, Ásgeirr sent volunteers back to the crater when rumors spread that goblins were studying draugrveiki. The party found blood, wolves, goblin artificers, and the chance to end the danger at its source.
- The Lost Voyage to Suðrey - A voyage meant to reach an untouched Atlantean outpost was thrown north by storm and frostveðr dragons, leaving the crew stranded among Aetherstone-eating island dragons.
- The Outpost Beneath the Aetherstone Tree - A stolen longship, a patron's vision, and a tree on a far northern island led to an Atlantean armory, anti-gravity stone, and the first steps toward flying ships.
- The Barrow Under Hjaltland - Settlers in Hjaltland faced undead rising from an old barrow and goblins attacking a badger family. Caleb's Wand of Wonder permanently enlarged the badger later known as Bitey Boy Brock, who met Skrappe Frappe there.
- Road to Fallen Stormroost - Scouts left Niðaróss to learn how close the horde had come after taking Stormroost. Their first encounter showed goblins still recruiting, bargaining, and preparing for greater war.
- Fires at the Fjordgate - Niðaróss became the shieldwall of the fjord. Refugees, townsfolk, sea elves, spellcasters, flying allies, and young drengr broke the horde before it could reach the sea.
- The River Road to Ruined Villages - A longship carried a reclamation party upriver through ruined towns, but a rescue in Mebonden was cut short by the news that Niðaróss itself was breaking.
- The Howling Hunger - Hungry worgs and desperate goblin handlers stalked the postwar wilderness. The party uncovered escaped kennel beasts and blood experiments before Sanura's warning called them home.
- The Lost Halls of Hearthforge - Grimnar Ironvein asked heroes to scout the halls his people had lost. The mission reached Hearthforge by flying karve and found the old war camp only mostly abandoned.
- Wolves on the Road to Selbu - A caravan of settlers returned inland under guard. Along the road, corrupted wolves became allies, and Selbu's new future began with a fragile treaty.
- The Drums Beneath Hearthforge - The return to Hearthforge found signal towers, a fortified entrance, and drums beating deep inside the mountain as if waking an ancient heart.
- The Venom of Stormroost - Ásgeirr's poison led back to Stormroost, goblin experiments, and the Fang-Mouth Cave. The rescue cost Fireetta her life, but Grishnak fell and Stormroost was reclaimed.
