Wolves & Wargs
Feared pack hunters and their darker fantasy kin, tied to wilderness danger, outlaws, war, hunger, and Fenrir’s shadow.
In the North
Wolves are one of the most important predators for this campaign. They threaten livestock, travelers, and isolated farms, but they are also intelligent pack animals with a real place in the wild.
Myth and Folklore
Fenrir, Sköll, and Hati make wolves cosmic as well as natural. A wolf can be just a hungry predator, but it always carries the possibility of doom, pursuit, and the end of order.
Campaign Use
Use wolves for wilderness pressure and wargs for war-trained, goblin-linked, or corruption-touched threats. Postwar wargs can be starving, leaderless, and more tragic than evil.
