In this world the Old Norse beliefs are still prevalent in Scandinavia and places where the Vikings have settled. Many folks believe in the Aesir, Vanir, and Jotuns as being god-like races.

However, in order to integrate with the standard D&D races we will include the following mythology.

Long ago the major super powerful races lived in peace. But the Aesir, Vanir, and Dragons banded together to banish a fourth group to the Abyss (a land of chaos and demons) and the Nine Hells (a land of law and devils). The Jotuns remained neutral, earning the enmity of the other remaining races.
