  * After Hoffer called the strategic retreat from [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:thydal|Þýdal]], the refugees rowed downriver and stopped at Aunet for a short break.
  * Hoffer warned the people there about the battle and the horde.
  * He reported that [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:thydal|Þýdal]]'s defenders had killed at least three giants, dozens of orcs, and perhaps as many as a hundred goblins, but that the remaining army was still larger than that.
