Orkneyjar

Orkneyjar is the Old Norse name for the Orkney Islands. For a Viking-age campaign, it is a natural stop between Hjaltland, Skotland, Ísland, and the western sea routes.

The islands can serve as a place of jarls, sea-kings, winter harbors, religious tension, ship repair, feasting halls, local feuds, and rumors carried between Norway and the western islands.
