The Guide is not merely a catalog of wand recipes. It treats a wand as a conversation between the caster, the chosen material, the spell pattern, and the wielder's habits. Its lessons combine workshop procedure, arcane theory, safety warnings, exercises for spell focus, and philosophical notes about why a wand should amplify discipline rather than replace it.
The Atlantean original appears to assume access to advanced workshops, precise rune tools, and materials now considered rare or legendary. Caleb's translation therefore includes practical notes for modern Midgard crafters: substitutions for lost Atlantean reagents, warnings where the original assumes training the reader does not have, and examples drawn from his own wand use.
