Aetherstone
Aetherstone is a magical material tied to Atlantean technology, levitation, the floating shield wall, flying craft, and the fictional Aetherstone Islands northeast of Iceland where some ridable dragons live. This is the canonical term; some older source threads use the noncanonical term Aetherite.

Lore
During Fires at the Fjordgate, MechaKirby and Netheril used a device with Aetherstone crystals to project a floating shield wall. The shield wall intercepted boulders, arrows, and hostile magic, then helped reinforce a breach in the northern wall.
Thordak Faerdhal's Flying Karve uses an array of Aetherstones around its upper hull to levitate, allowing it to travel through the air when pulled by Skythor or another flying creature.
Thordak's Floating Bastion is a small series of Aetherstone-based floating islands deep in the mountains north of Niðaróss. It includes buildings and mostly follows the D&D bastion rules.
The Lost Voyage to Suðrey and The Outpost Beneath the Aetherstone Tree found gravity-defying Aetherstone on the fictional Aetherstone Islands northeast of Iceland, where small dragons ate the material. One Suðrey-bound expedition landed there after being driven off course and observed small dragons eating glowing rocks whose magical essence helped them fly and hover. A separate party collected and studied the stones while following Chad Darrelson's patron vision toward an Atlantean outpost.
In The Outpost Beneath the Aetherstone Tree, Netheril Faerdhal used the Orb of Crafting to empower Aetherstone crystals into fully enhanced anti-gravity items. She attached one to a rope so the remaining party members could escape the cave after the rope was cut, and the party then gathered enough wood and Aetherstone to build a levitating longship that Skythor could pull.
