====== Fang-Mouth Cave ======

Fang-Mouth Cave is a hidden cave near [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:stormroost|Stormroost]] marked by two sharp rocks descending from above like the teeth of a mountain lion. Dragonborn refugees from Stormroost hid there after the goblin, orc, and giant horde took their village.
Inside, cave murals and oral prophecy identify [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:kris-stormblade|Kris Stormblade]] as the hero who would claim the fang-bastion. The cave is also tied to a secret from [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:leif-arrowsong|Leif Arrowsong]]'s grandfather, who hid a magic item here or in a hidden side passage connected to this cave.
After [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:stormroost|Stormroost]] was reclaimed, not all refugees returned to the village. Some survivors stayed at Fang-Mouth Cave and now serve as helpers for Kris in [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:kris-stormblades-bastion|Kris Stormblade's Bastion]].

  * Leif's grandfather described a cave with two tooth-like rocks and a hidden magic item. This is the Fang-Mouth / Fang-Tooth Cave near [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:stormroost|Stormroost]], not the [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:hearthforge|Hearthforge]] caves.
  * Dragonborn survivors of [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:stormroost|Stormroost]] hid in or near the cave.
  * [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:frost-stormscales|Frost Stormscales]] watched a goblin/orc search party from the cave and joined the refugee ambush.
  * [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:kris-stormblade|Kris Stormblade]] joined the fight and fulfilled the cave-wall prophecy.
