Spell Cards

These are the cards I use in my campaigns. Most of these are spell cards, and they are my own versions of them. Some are as published for D&D 5e (either the 2014 or 2024 versions, as I see fit), some are modified because I thought the published spells needed a change, some are my own homebrews, and some are just changed so the contents fit on the size of card I use.

Equipment

I have some changes I make to standard D&D equipment.

Sling

Slings should have a better range than the rules say. I change it so that when using a cast bullet, designed for usage in a sling, the range is the same as that of a shortbow. I believe the evidence shows that as a valid correction. When using a found stone, the distance is half of that of a shortbow, due to the random characteristics of the rock.

This page lists the kinds of beings one might encounter in a Norse-inspired D&D campaign. Some are rooted in historical Norse culture, while others are adapted from myth or modern fantasy. Explanations are provided where helpful or where real mythology differs from typical D&D assumptions.

A hólmganga is a traditional Norse duel—an honorable one-on-one fight used to settle disputes. In Viking society, where honor and reputation were as valuable as gold, a holmgang was seen as a lawful and respected way to resolve serious accusations or insults.

There were several qualities that the Norse considered essential to being an honorable person. Someone who lived by these values could be called a drengr—a person of good repute, strength, and self-respect.

Reputation was everything. These ideals weren’t just personal—they shaped how your family, your village, and your gods judged you.
