Orkanger is a prominent coastal town where the river Ork meets the Orkdal Fjord, an arm of the Þróndheimsfjorden. The name “Orkanger” translates to “the inlet of the river Ork,” highlighting its geographical significance. The river Ork, renowned for its abundant life, including salmon, runs through the Orkdalen valley, beginning at Orkvatn (Ork Lake). This river valley starts steep with rugged cliffs but gradually becomes wider, shallower, and more fertile as it approaches the fjord. The fjord itself is known for the presence of giant squids, adding a touch of danger and mystery to the waters.

  • Elara Seabreeze: A respected sea elf jarl known for her wisdom and mastery of water magic, playing a crucial role in maintaining peace between the sea elves and humans.
  • Nerith Deepcurrent: An enigmatic sea elf druid who tends to the sacred swamp, possessing ancient sea lore and knowledge of lost artifacts.

Heraldry: The sea elves of Orkanger use a coat of arms described as “Vert, a pallet wavy argent.” This heraldic device features a green field (background) with a single vertical wavy bar (pallet) in white (argent) or silver if metallic. This design symbolizes the river Ork running through the fertile Orkdalen valley.

Architecture: Buildings are a blend of Viking longhouses and sea elf designs, characterized by flowing, wave-like structures and intricate carvings of marine life.

Harbor: The small coastal harbor has four piers, facilitating efficient loading and unloading of longships. Sea elf sorcerers have cast protective wards to safeguard against dangerous sea creatures and adverse weather.

Marketplace: Near the harbor, a small marketplace thrives with traders and local artisans selling their goods, creating a lively hub of commerce.
