Eagles
High-sky hunters linked to cliffs, omens, battlefields, and the upper reaches of the world tree.
In the North
Eagles belong on sea cliffs, mountain ridges, and high river valleys. They are best used as watchers: a circling eagle can show that something has died, or that something is watching from above.
Myth and Folklore
An unnamed eagle sits high in Yggdrasil in Norse myth, with the hawk Veðrfölnir between its eyes. Eagles also carry the general heroic language of height, vision, and power.
Campaign Use
Use eagles as messengers for druids, signs of divine attention, or mundane predators that force exposed characters to protect small companions or familiars.
