Gjenganger work better as returning dead who trouble the living because of murder, oath-breaking, or unfinished revenge. ===== Myth and Folklore ===== Draugr in saga tradition can be strong, malicious, treasure-guarding dead. Gjenganger belong to later Scandinavian revenant folklore and often return with a grievance or a harmful touch. ===== Campaign Use ===== Use draugr for burial mounds, cursed treasure, and physical horror.
