Selbu

Selbu was one of the inland settlements attacked by the goblin, orc, and giant horde before the Battle of Niðaróss. Later groups found it completely burned down, looted, and affected by a purple corruption that sickened local wildlife and animated or twisted the dead.

• Region: Upriver from Niðaróss, near Lake Selbusjøen.
• First known appearance: Post-Fjordgate rebuilding and caravan material.

• The horde burned and looted Selbu months before the post-Fjordgate sessions.
• One group had previously scouted Selbu and found nothing worth looting or saving.
• After Sanura's Sending about Ásgeirr's poisoning interrupted Wednesday Beginners Reclaiming Villages, the Beginners Late Winter 2026 caravan followed up on that unfinished mission and reached Selbu with settlers hoping to rebuild.
• The party healed six corrupted wolves near Selbu and later negotiated a territory agreement between the settlers and Stormhowl's pack.
• After the wolf-settler agreement, Stormhowl's pack returned to ask the party for help because Lesser Stone Trolls had taken over the pack's home caves.
• The party burned visible purple mushrooms in and around the village, making it safer for rebuilding.
• The the adventuring party later stopped at Selbu on the way to Stonehome and found it completely burned down and looted.
