Swift Shield is a homebrew abjuration cantrip that briefly raises a glowing magical barrier against a single attack. It can also be used to intercept a ranged attack aimed at someone else.

A slightly glowing barrier of magical force pops up to obstruct one attack. The caster's armor class for this attack is increased by their proficiency bonus. The effect only lasts for that specific attack.

Interception: if a ranged attack is coming through the caster's space but is aimed at someone else, the caster may intercept it. The caster casts this spell, blocking the attack from hitting the original target, but the caster becomes the target of the attack, whether it succeeds or fails.
