The glow became very bright along with the beating of the ritual drums. The party later realized that each drumbeat was bringing [[campaigns:latitude_history:lore:thullgrim|Thullgrim]] closer to waking, as if it were making his heart beat. Because Thullgrim is the mountain and the party was inside him, even the slumbering troll mountain was large and powerful enough to make the necklace glow noticeably.
