The living worg poison is the substance used to assassinate [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:asgeir-axelson|Ásgeirr Axelson]] and the clue-chain that points [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:nidaross|Niðaróss]] back toward [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:stormroost|Stormroost]]. It is tied to worg blood, underground fungus, mass worg confinement, and goblin artificer experimentation.

The poison does not behave like ordinary plant, snake, or battlefield poison. Hulda observes slow action, animal panic, unnatural discoloration, and lingering sickness. Refugee knowledge connects similar symptoms to worgs and [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:stormroost|Stormroost]], where goblins had expanded kennels and had enough confined worgs to grow or mass-produce the toxin.

The working explanation is biological: dominant or battle-scarred worg blood feeds underground fungal growths, and goblin specialists turn the result into a poison that is also a disease-like living corruption. It registers as both poison and disease to magic.

The adventuring party found an earlier or parallel piece of this work at the kennels below [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:stormroost|Stormroost]]: Toki saw caged worgs, a goblin working at a table, and evidence that goblins were experimenting with worg blood for various potions and poisons.
