Thordak Faerdhal grew up in a tiny village high in the mountains to the north. He only knew his family and the dragonborns of the other two families there. Reveling in the winter storms that cooled his fire, he learned to appreciate the power of nature.
When he was a young adult he ventured down the mountains and met many humans. They told him stories of the gods, including how Thor could create and control thunder and lightning. He learned all he could about the gods and became an apprentice to a local [[culture:gothi|goði]].

  * Before the horde attacked [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:thydal|Þýdal]], joined the group that found [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:frod-erikson|Fróð Erikson]]'s hidden tower, freed a trapped spider family, and released Fróð from the Amber Barrel.
  * Helped defend [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:thydal|Þýdal]] before the refugee movement to [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:nidaross|Niðaróss]].
  * During the [[campaigns:latitude_history:adventures:the-night-thydal-fell|The Night Þýdal Fell]], struck a giant with his warhammer, endured the giant's counterblow, answered with thunder, and brought the giant down.
  * Helped explore the fallen meteor north of [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:thydal|Þýdal]]; its recovered metal became his [[campaigns:latitude_history:lore:asteroid-forged-warhammer|Asteroid-Forged Warhammer]], and metal from the same meteor also became [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:sanura-sefu|Sanura Sefu]]'s [[campaigns:latitude_history:lore:starspike|Starspike]].
  * Helped explore the [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:aetherstone-islands|Aetherstone Islands]] Atlantean outpost and received Explosive Darts and [[campaigns:latitude_history:lore:aetherstone|Aetherstone]] Darts.
  * After the armory, opened the circular chamber door, saw the guardian statue back on its pedestal, and hugged it.
