Risar Stormborn
Risar Stormborn was hatched in Stormroost, a bronze‑dragonborn stronghold perched high in the cloud‑kissed mountains northeast of Niðaróss. The clan’s roundhouses clung to rocky ledges, their blue‑painted shields shimmering like bits of sky against brown stone. From his father, Jarl Skarvi, young Risar learned the weight of duty; from his mother, a master armorer, he learned the music of hammer and anvil. He spent his days racing mountain goats along cliff paths and practicing mock swordplay with clutch‑mates, dreaming of the day he could bear the clan’s spiral thunder emblem in true battle. That day arrived too soon—and far too late. A horde of goblins, orcs, and hill giants poured through the high passes while Risar was still little more than a lanky adolescent. Not yet old enough to join the shield wall, he carried water and warnings as Stormroost fell stone by stone. Under the cover of sleet and sorrow, his family led survivors down secret goat tracks to the river valleys and fled westward to Niðaróss. Watching the flames fade behind him etched a single promise into his heart: this will never happen again.
