Aetherstone Islands

The Aetherstone Islands are a fictional remote island chain northeast of Iceland. The party in The Lost Voyage to Suðrey reached them after a Suðrey-bound longship went badly off course during a storm and frostveðr attack. A separate party in The Outpost Beneath the Aetherstone Tree later reached the chain after fleeing Niðaróss by stolen longship and sailing northwest through a storm. The islands are known for gravity-defying Aetherstone. Small dragons eat the stones, including Thunderstone Drakes, and the published canon later identifies the Aetherstone Islands as the only known source where Aetherstone can be mined. Terrible Terrors are present in the island chain.
