Awarded to Thorgall Giron for the adventures of Hallowing the Hearthforge.
A dwarven daneaxe with a hammer poll. The hammer back is etched with a cracked mountain-rune, and the blade hums when Thorgall's necklace glows.
+1 magic greataxe / daneaxe — martial melee weapon (heavy, two-handed)
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Trollsbane. Treat it as a greataxe / daneaxe for proficiency and weapon features. Its attack roll adds Strength, proficiency, and +1; its damage is 1d12 + Strength modifier + 1.
Blade or hammer. On each hit, choose slashing damage from the axe blade or bludgeoning damage from the hammer back. Use the chosen damage type for that hit. Add any applicable Rage damage to that weapon-damage roll.
Trollsbane. When you hit a troll or a creature with regeneration, the weapon deals an extra 2d6 damage of the type chosen for that hit. Add this once per hit, even if the target is both a troll and a regenerating creature. Apply the extra damage only against a qualifying target; do not add Strength, Rage, or the +1 enchantment again to these extra dice. On a critical hit, double both the weapon's damage dice and these extra dice.
Still the flesh. When Trollsbane damages a troll or a creature with regeneration, that creature cannot regain hit points from regeneration until the start of Thorgall's next turn. This does not prevent healing from other sources and does not require fire or acid damage. Tell the GM when this applies; the GM tracks the suppression and its expiry.
