Fisher/Sailor (Norse) is a homebrew background for a character shaped by ships, oars, sails, fishing waters, and practical navigation.

You worked on a ship and learned the ropes, literally. You know your way around a sail, can haul oars as well as anyone, and understand how a crew survives on cold water, narrow margins, and shared labor. Whether you grew up fishing, ferrying people along the coast, rowing a longship, or working as a general crewmember, the sea taught you to notice weather, landmarks, currents, and danger.

• Skill Proficiencies: your efforts on the ship taught you Athletics and Perception.
• Tool Proficiencies: your time as a crewmember taught you to plot a course on a map using navigator's tools. You also mastered Vehicles (water).

You almost always know, or can quickly find out, which direction is north. You can read maps easily, track landmarks, and are rarely lost.

You have advantage on Intelligence and Wisdom checks for determining direction and managing travel, whether on land or sea.
