Frost Stormscales was born in Stormroost, a rugged village of silver dragonborn nestled high in the snow-capped mountains of Norway during the early days of the Viking Age. Her people lived as proud dragon-kin, hunting in the frozen peaks and telling ancient sagas around roaring hearth-fires. From a young age, Frost was captivated by tales of the Varangian Guard—fierce Norse warriors who sailed far across the seas to serve as elite protectors of the Byzantine Emperor in the glittering city of Constantinople. These Varangians were known for their unmatched courage, loyalty, and skill in battle, blending Viking ferocity with the discipline of a far-off empire. Frost dreamed of becoming just like them: a cunning warrior who could stand against any foe.
