====== Wolves & Wargs ====== Feared pack hunters and their darker fantasy kin, tied to wilderness danger, outlaws, war, hunger, and Fenrir’s shadow. ===== In the North ===== Wolves are one of the most important predators for this campaign. They threaten livestock, travelers, and isolated farms, but they are also intelligent pack animals with a real place in the wild. ===== Myth and Folklore ===== Fenrir, Sköll, and Hati make wolves cosmic as well as natural. A wolf can be just a hungry predator, but it always carries the possibility of doom, pursuit, and the end of order. ===== Campaign Use ===== Use wolves for wilderness pressure and wargs for war-trained, goblin-linked, or corruption-touched threats. Postwar wargs can be starving, leaderless, and more tragic than evil. ===== Latitude Lore ===== * Postwar Worgs * Living Worg Poison * Kennels Below Stormroost ===== See Also ===== * Norse Creatures ===== Sources ===== * Wildlife of Norway: https://grokipedia.com/page/Wildlife_of_Norway * Fenrir: https://grokipedia.com/page/Fenrir * Sköll: https://grokipedia.com/page/Sk%C3%B6ll * Hati: https://grokipedia.com/page/Hati_Hr%C3%B3%C3%B0vitnisson ===== Game Master Notes ===== DM-only encounter details, stat blocks, and running notes are kept at Wolves & Wargs (DM).
