====== Mebonden ======

Mebonden was one of the stops on the [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:thydal|Þýdal]] refugees' longboat route to [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:nidaross|Niðaróss]]. It was later attacked by the goblin, orc, and giant horde, but unlike [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:selbu|Selbu]] it was not entirely destroyed. Some buildings survived, making it useful for goblin remnants and captives after the war.

===== Campaign History =====

  * The horde damaged and partly burned Mebonden before [[campaigns:latitude_history:adventures:fires-at-the-fjordgate|Fires at the Fjordgate]].
  * After the [[campaigns:latitude_history:adventures:the-night-thydal-fell|The Night Þýdal Fell]], the refugees reached Mebonden by afternoon, ate dinner, and slept on the shore beside their boats before crossing the fjord to [[campaigns:latitude_history:places:nidaross|Niðaróss]] the next morning.
  * The [[campaigns:latitude_history:adventures:the-river-road-to-ruined-villages|river-road reclamation party]] found goblins occupying parts of the village.
  * During the fight, multiple [[culture:longhouse|longhouses]] caught fire, including one where [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:shenanigan-swift|Shenanigan Swift]] was in the rafters.
  * [[campaigns:latitude_history:characters:mechakirby|MechaKirby]]'s fire Chromatic Orb killed the last goblin and ignited a longhouse.
  * The party rescued a tied-up human boy and looted the goblin bodies.
  * One goblin carried the [[campaigns:latitude_history:lore:sling-of-chance|Sling of Chance]], a magic sling intended for Shenanigan.
