Brúarlagi are territorial trollkin that use camouflage, local terrain, fog, and traps to ambush settlers or adventurers expanding into their territory.

===== Lore =====

Brúarlagi prefer rocky hills, cave mouths, bridges, and other terrain where they can use stone, fog, and shadow to hide their approach. They are most dangerous when settlers or adventurers push into land the creature has claimed as its own.

They favor overcast days and shaded ground, avoiding bright sunlight when they can. Around a lair, they may set simple but dangerous traps such as hidden pits, loosened rocks, or paths arranged to slow intruders before the attack.

===== Lair =====

A Brúarlagi's lair is usually an unlit cave in rocky hills, furnished with little more than moss bedding. The surrounding area is damp and foggy; close to the lair, the fog may grow thick enough to dim the light and shield the Brúarlagi from direct sun.
